About the Role
Achievers Light is a supported living agency serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in King County, Washington. We are hiring a Direct Support Professional to provide high-quality, person-centered care in a private residential setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support
- Operate mechanical lift equipment for safe client transfers (training provided and required prior to independent work)
- Assist with meal preparation, hydration, and medication administration per care plan
- Support range of motion exercises, repositioning, and mobility per individual protocols
- Engage meaningfully with the client throughout each shift
- Document all care accurately using Therap (T-logs, MAR, health tracking, shift notes)
- Follow individualized care plans including Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP)
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, care team members, and client representatives
Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in direct support, personal care, or a related caregiving role
- Physical ability to perform hands-on care including lift-assisted transfers
- Comfort providing full personal care including incontinence support
- Ability to follow detailed written care plans and document in electronic systems
- Dependable, punctual, and composed in complex care situations
- Must pass a Washington State DSHS background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with complex physical and/or behavioral support needs
- Familiarity with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC)
- Therap documentation experience
- CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
- Experience with mechanical lift systems
Shift Availability
- Morning and daytime shifts (primary)
- Evening and overnight availability a plus
- Consistent scheduling preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- $21–$24/hour depending on experience
