Residential Electrical Technician
Achievers of Louisiana, Inc. is seeking a dependable and motivated Residential Electrical Technician to join our team. We are looking for someone with hands-on residential electrical experience who can perform installations, repairs, and service work while continuing to develop their skills in the electrical trade.
Pay
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour Based on experience and ability.
Job Responsibilities
- Install and replace switches, receptacles, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and smoke detectors
- Pull wire and install electrical devices in residential homes
- Assist with rough-in and trim-out electrical work
- Install and replace breakers and electrical panels
- Troubleshoot common residential electrical issues
- Perform service calls and electrical repairs
- Read and follow electrical layouts and basic wiring diagrams
- Identify and correct code-related issues
- Maintain tools, materials, and job site safety
- Complete work efficiently and professionally
Qualifications
- 1-4 years of residential electrical experience preferred
- Understanding of residential wiring methods and electrical safety practices
- Ability to use electrical testing equipment and hand tools
- Knowledge of basic electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently on routine tasks
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Preferred Skills
- Service call experience
- Panel change and breaker replacement experience
- Lighting installation and troubleshooting
- Remodel and renovation electrical work
- Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC)
