Pediatric Outpatient Clinic
Working days are Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off.
We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric outpatient therapy team.
The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individualized speech and language therapy services to children with a variety of communication needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one pediatric speech therapy under the supervision of an SLP
- Implement treatment plans and goals established by the supervising SLP
- Work with children with articulation, receptive/expressive language, social communication, AAC, and other communication needs
- Collect and document objective data during treatment sessions
- Complete daily treatment notes accurately and on time
- Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and team members
- Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, COTAs, and other members of the therapy team
- Prepare engaging, age-appropriate therapy activities and materials
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly treatment environment
Qualifications
- Current or eligible SLPA license/registration in Alabama
- Appropriate education and training required to practice as an SLPA
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Comfortable working with children of varying ages and developmental abilities
- Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
