Pediatric Outpatient Clinic

Working days are Monday through Thursday, with Fridays off.

We are looking for a compassionate, energetic, and dependable Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our pediatric outpatient therapy team.

The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individualized speech and language therapy services to children with a variety of communication needs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one pediatric speech therapy under the supervision of an SLP
  • Implement treatment plans and goals established by the supervising SLP
  • Work with children with articulation, receptive/expressive language, social communication, AAC, and other communication needs
  • Collect and document objective data during treatment sessions
  • Complete daily treatment notes accurately and on time
  • Communicate professionally with parents, caregivers, and team members
  • Collaborate with SLPs, OTs, COTAs, and other members of the therapy team
  • Prepare engaging, age-appropriate therapy activities and materials
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly treatment environment

Qualifications

  • Current or eligible SLPA license/registration in Alabama
  • Appropriate education and training required to practice as an SLPA
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
  • Comfortable working with children of varying ages and developmental abilities
  • Pediatric experience preferred, but not required
