Achievement House, Inc., a non-profit organization with a history of serving individuals with developmental disabilities since 1957, is seeking a dedicated Case Manager/Job Developer to join our team. As a Case Manager/Job Developer, you will play a crucial role in supervising and training Direct Support Professionals, ensuring efficient and safe operations, and working closely with staff to maximize our impact.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with individuals served, the community, and Achievement House stakeholders.
- Coordinate and schedule annual reviews with individuals served, identifying short-term and long-term goals and potential barriers.
- Provide continuous instructions for work specific to vocational growth and training objectives.
- Oversee individual assessments to determine goals, preferences, and needs, providing suggestions to ensure these needs are met.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by assessing the effectiveness of individual placements.
- Collaborate with management to address worksite challenges and assess potential crew opportunities.
- Proactively work with individuals served to encourage behavior changes and growth.
- Address behavior situations in both emergency and non-emergency situations.
- Ensure staff has accurate and timely information regarding individuals served.
- Train staff on how to complete data charts and all required goal tracking paperwork, providing quarterly updates.
Required Qualifications
- Must have own vehicle and maintain a current California drivers license.
- Must provide on-going proof of current state required auto insurance.
- Must clear fingerprints through the California Department of Justice and the FBI.
- A high school education or equivalent.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good time management.
- Computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft Office programs)
- Comfortable with networking
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.
- Ability to motivate others.
- Flexibility with work schedules and willingness to help cover different sites as needed.
- Supervisor experience preferred.
