Role Overview
As a Behavior Technician (ABA Therapist) at our Malverne ABA Center, you'll work 1:1 with students in a clinic setting, implementing individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) designed by a supervising BCBA. You'll help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills in a structured, supportive environment.
Daily Responsibilities
- Provide direct ABA therapy to children in a center/clinic setting
- Engage students in structured, goal-oriented activities
- Implement ABA strategies (prompting, modeling, reinforcement, redirection, DTT)
- Collect session data and maintain progress documentation
- Collaborate with BCBAs, supervisors, and clinic staff
- Communicate effectively with families and team members
Qualifications
- Education in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
- Preferred: Active RBT certification (not required — training provided)
- Experience working with children (autism/developmental needs preferred)
- Strong communication skills and reliability
- Compassionate, engaging, and adaptable professional approach
