Description: Achieve Beyond is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Itinerant Teacher to join our team. This position is located in Suffolk, NY. We currently offer ABA, Speech, Occupational, Social Work, and Physical therapy as well as Special Education/SEIT services. We serve children and families in the metro New York area (all 5 boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley, Long Island and Albany), Virginia/DC area, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut and Delaware.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide one on one special instruction to children aged 3 to 5 years in our CPSE program
- Educate family members and caregivers on different intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over
- Work in diverse settings such as patient homes, family day care homes, daycare centers, and/or other community settings
- Maintain accurate records of services provided; submit evaluations and progress reports in a timely manner
- Prepare progress reports as per program timelines
- Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations) and submit records to agency within established deadlines
Requirements:
- Must have a passion for working with children and families
- One of the following NYS certifications/licenses: Students with Disabilities (Birth - 2) Initial or Professional Certification, Permanent Special Education Certification, TSHH Permanent Certification, TSLD Initial or Professional Certification, NYS School Psychologist Provisional or Permanent Certification, NYS Licensed Master Social Worker, NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism
- Fluency in a language other than English is a plus

- Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train
