Position Summary
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) plays a vital role in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You’ll support daily living activities, community engagement, and personal development, while advocating for individual choice and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
- Understands, supports, and advocates with people we support by helping them live a life of personal significance.
- Identifies, documents, and shares concerns and successes as appropriate.
- Transports and accompanies people to activities, appointments, and events.
- Helps with personal care tasks as needed, laundry and food preparation.
- Assists with money management by promoting independence.
- Administers medications and documents information.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- No previous experience or formal education required – we provide all the training you’ll need!
- Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and a reliable, insured vehicle.
- Able to pass required background checks (Act 33 and Act 34 clearances).
- A caring attitude and willingness to help others
