Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards
- Manage GPS navigation systems to efficiently plan and execute delivery routes across multiple states or regions
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records in accordance with FMCSA regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving on route driving schedules
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking
