We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled in-house Interior Lead Designer specializing in luxury new home construction. As an Interior Designer in this fast-paced, high-end environment, you will collaborate closely with clients, architects, project managers and construction teams to create stunning interiors that reflect clients’ visions while adhering to budget and timeline constraints. Your expertise will elevate each project, transforming empty shells into luxurious, personalized living spaces that inspire and delight.
- Develop interior design concepts, finishes, and layouts for high-end residential projects
- Prepare mood boards, 3D renderings, and material presentations
- Coordinate with architects, vendors, and contractors throughout design and construction
- Develop comprehensive interior design concepts, including space planning, material selection, color schemes, lighting design, and furnishings.
- Source and specify luxury materials, fixtures, and furnishings
- Manage design schedules and client presentations
- Collaborate with clients to understand their lifestyle preferences, aesthetic goals, and functional needs for luxury new homes.
- Utilize advanced design software such as SketchUp, Revit, Rhino 3D, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and 3ds Max to create detailed 3D models and presentation boards.
- Prepare detailed construction documents and drafting plans using CAD and Bluebeam for seamless communication with architects and contractors.
- Coordinate with project managers to ensure designs align with budgets, schedules, and construction specifications.
- Manage client presentations effectively, clearly articulating design ideas while incorporating feedback for refinement.
- Assist in negotiating contracts with vendors and contractors to secure quality materials within budget constraints.
- Conduct site visits during construction phases to monitor progress, ensure adherence to design specifications, and resolve any issues promptly.
- Stay current on industry trends in interior design, lighting technology, color theory, and luxury home features to continually elevate project outcomes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
- 10 years of experience in residential or luxury interior design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar design software
- Strong eye for detail, texture, and composition
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Experience managing projects from concept through completion with excellent project management skills.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of budgeting practices related to high-end interior projects.
- Strong communication skills for client presentations and team collaboration.
- Ability to coordinate seamlessly between vendors, contractors, architects, and clients ensuring smooth project flow.
