Blower Repair Technician

Repair Technician Position

We are a Manufacturers distributor, authorized packager and Service Center for Low Pressure and vacuum products located in Northwest Houston. We are currently looking to fill an open position in our Service & Repair Department.

Primary responsibility will be Blower teardown, cleanup & reassembly. Looking for someone with solid mechanical aptitude and experience repairing Industrial Rotating Equipment. Candidate is expected to have a firm grasp on the use and application of tooling and power tools needed to tear down and repair industrial equipment. Position offers opportunity to anyone wanting to further develop a trade in repairing Industrial Equipment. Individual should have experience working in a shop environment. Some experience in a field service environment is a plus. Position offers product training and an excellent opportunity to further develop skills working on rotating equipment.

Experience Level:

3 years’ experience in rotating equipment repair

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

· Hours: Must be flexible. Overtime on short notice. Occasionally overtime on weekends.

· Work environment: Shop & Occasionally outside field service

· Must be familiar with basic mechanics tools and application

· Experience in repairing rotating equipment or other relatable industrial equipment

· Experience working with mechanics tools and power tools

· Experience with alignment tools

· Understanding of the importance with tolerances and clearances in rotating equipment.

· Must be able to work in Hot / Cold environments.

· Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.

· Must be able to stand / walk for extended periods

Education / Experience:

· High School diploma or general education degree ( GED )

· 3 years’ related work experience

Starting pay rate: $27 – $30 based on job experience and qualifications.

Must be able to pass drug screen, physical and background check. Must have valid Texas driver’s license. Must be authorized to work in USA.
