Job Title: Welder (MIG/TIG/Stick)
Job Summary:
ACF Group LLC is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal structures according to technical blueprints. The ideal candidate has a steady hand, great attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality work that meets industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to plan layouts.
- Operate welding equipment (MIG, TIG, Stick, or Flux-Core) to fuse metal components in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, grinding, and cutting metal pieces to specifications using power tools like angle grinders.
- Inspect finished welds for quality, ensuring they are free of defects like cracks or porosity.
- Maintain equipment and a clean workspace to ensure a safe environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Three years of professional welding experience preferred. (Structural, Pipe, or Manufacturing preferred).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED; completion of a welding certificate program or apprenticeship is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MIG/TIG/Stick welding and ability to pass a weld test.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions.
Work Environment
- May involve working in confined spaces, at heights, or in varied weather conditions for field projects.
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently in a manufacturing environment and exposed to moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and loud on occasion.
- Often requires collaboration with other trades, such as electricians, machinists, and engineers.
