Job Summary

We are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Domestic Operations Specialist I to manage established client business, coordinate domestic freight, communicate with carriers and customers, and help deliver efficient transportation solutions. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

· Book, quote, and coordinate domestic freight shipments for established clients.

· Manage full truckload, less-than-truckload, expedited, specialized, and over-dimensional freight as needed.

· Negotiate competitive carrier rates while protecting service quality and profitability.

· Dispatch carriers and communicate load details, schedules, and updates clearly and promptly.

· Track shipments proactively and resolve delays, changes, or service issues with urgency.

· Maintain strong relationships with clients, carriers, and internal team members.

· Use ACF’s network, systems, and resources to identify efficient transportation solutions.

· Support process improvements that strengthen service, communication, and operational performance.

Qualifications

· 2 years of logistics, dispatching, domestic transportation, or related experience required.

· Experience coordinating domestic truckload, LTL, expedited, specialized, or project freight strongly preferred.

· Strong negotiation skills and the ability to secure competitive carrier rates.

· Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

· Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities at once.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office required; CargoWise or logistics software experience is a plus.

· Positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to contribute to company growth and success.
