About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct support to Individuals with developmental disabilities in a home and community setting. The RBT assists with daily living needs, implements behavior and skill-building programs, and helps ensure a safe, supportive environment. This position works under the supervision of a Behavior Analyst and Lead Staff.
Key Responsibilities

Support the health, safety, and well-being of all Individuals.

Assist with personal care (ADLs) and hygiene as needed.

Implement behavior plans, skill-building programs, and daily objectives from the Individual Service/Program Plans.

Collect accurate data and documentation on Individual progress.

Supervise Individuals during daily tasks, household chores, and community activities.

Maintain a clean, organized home environment, including daily cleaning and end-of-shift trash removal.

Assist with self-administration of medications and document in the MAR.

Report incidents, behaviors, and any suspected abuse per mandated reporting laws.

Participate in weekly team meetings and follow directives from Administrator/Lead Staff.

Provide transportation or accompany Individuals to appointments and outings.

40 hours: On-site orientation.

6 months: First 35-hour competency-based training.

1 year: Second 35-hour competency-based training.

12 hours of continuing education annually.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High work ethic, must be at least 21 years of age or older, one year administrative and supervisory experience in the field, and two years of prior experience providing direct supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential licensed home of 4 or more, must have a valid driver’s license and must be fully insurable.
Must possess a valid appropriate administrators certificate. Require Health Screening, TB Clearance, Criminal Record Clearance. CPR, First Aid Certificate. Must have a High School Diploma or GED. Must be one of the following:
1. A Registered Behavior Technician, or
2. A licensed psychiatric technician, or
3. A Qualified Behavior Modification Professional
The Direct Care Lead Staff shall meet the following training requirements:
1. Within the first 40 hours of providing Individual services in the home, all new direct care staff shall complete an on-site orientation to include the good neighbor policy.
2. Within one year from the hire date satisfactorily complete the first 35 hour competency based training course and pass the competency test applicable to that training segment, or to pass a challenge test applicable to that training segment; and
a. With in two years from the hire date satisfactorily complete the second 35 hour competency based training course and pass the competency test applicable to that training segment, or to pass a challenge test applicable to that training segment.
3. Over a 12 month period complete 12 hours or more of continuing education in one or more of the following areas:
a. Individual services as described in the program design
b. Promotion of Individual’s rights, health, safety (CPR and First Aid Certification)
c. Must have a valid CPR and First Aid Certification
d. ID Team process, including development and implementation of IPP’s.
