Job Summary:
The Machine Operator will be responsible of the equipment and ensure proper set up, start up, shut-down procedures and safe operation. The operator will play a key role in improving safety, quality, productivity, and cost on existing manufacturing processes.
Essential Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor tubular steel production.
- Set up and adjust machine tools and equipment for production runs.
- Be able to perform basic welding to attach ends of steel coils.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of finished products.
- Perform basic math calculations to determine dimensions, tolerances, and angles.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.
- Manage the production team of 4 people to meet daily production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines, and other milling equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of machining processes.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders.
- Familiarity with using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Basic math skills for performing calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and angles.
- Experience in fabricating and assembling components.
- Knowledge of stationary crane operation for moving heavy materials.
