Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic repairs, tests, adjusts, or installs electronic equipment, such as industrial controls, transmitters, and antennas.
Essential Responsibilities
Test electrical equipment or systems to ensure proper functioning.- Maintain repair or maintenance records.
- Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Inspect equipment to locate or identify electrical problems.
- Install electrical components, equipment, or systems.
- Demonstrate activity techniques or equipment use.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Enter codes or other information into computers.
- Maintain work equipment or machinery.
- Calibrate equipment to specifications.
- Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
- Confer with coworkers to resolve equipment problems.
- Confer with customers or users to assess problems.
- Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, or diagrams to inform installation, development or operation activities.
- Read work orders or descriptions of problems to determine repairs or modifications needed.
- Communicate with coworkers to coordinate installations or repairs.
- Develop equipment or component configurations.

Qualifications
High School with 1 year of experience in a similar position.- Basic math skills for performing calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and angles.
Skills:
- Operations Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or display screens to make sure a machine is working.
- Repairing - Repairing machines or systems using the right tools.
- Troubleshooting - Figuring out what is causing equipment, machines, wiring, or computer programs to not work.
- Quality Control Analysis - Testing how well a product or service works.
- Equipment Maintenance - Planning and doing the basic maintenance on equipment.
- Critical Thinking - Thinking about the pros and cons of different ways to solve a problem.
