Job Overview
Join our vibrant community as a Christian Volleyball Coach, where your passion for sports and faith come together to inspire and develop young athletes. In this paid position, you will be involved in coaching a travel volleyball team, always supported by other coaches/staff. Teams practice 2 times a week from the months of November to April.
Responsibilities
- Help execute engaging volleyball practices that develop skills and teamwork among players ages 12-18
- Demonstrate sportsmanship, strategic thinking, and encouraging positive interactions
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment by managing behavior and promoting respect on and off the court
- Incorporate faith-based principles into coaching sessions to nurture character development alongside athletic skills
Qualifications
- Prior experience coaching volleyball or other team sports with a focus on youth development
- Strong communication skills to motivate players and collaborate with parents and staff
- Knowledge of sports-specific training techniques for volleyball; experience in soccer coaching or basketball is a plus
- Experience working within faith-based environments or integrating Christian principles into coaching practices is preferred
