What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Courier Driver position at ACE?
Medical Couriers needed to provide delivery service for medical facilities and laboratories. All shifts available.
Ideal candidate must be dependable, reliable, possess excellent customer service skills, a sense of urgency, cell phone, clear recent DMV abstract. Military base access a plus. Compensation based on relevant medical courier experience and route requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Delivers and receives specimens, supplies, and other items from medical facilities/offices.
- Inspects vehicle and makes operational checks pre-trip and post-trip. Keeps interior clean. Fuels vehicles as needed.
- Drives vehicle in accordance with traffic regulations and observes traffic lights, other vehicles, and pedestrians on the street to avoid accidents.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, stand, sit, drive for long periods of time.
- Knowledge of standard locations and landmarks on Oahu helpful.
- Efficient and timely deliveries to many various locations on Route.
- Conforms to all safety rules and use of appropriate safety equipment.
- Willingly performs other duties as assigned by department leadership.
- Well-groomed appearance and dressed in company uniform for all shifts.
- Practices and promotes good customer relations using professional conduct.
- Attendance, attitude, and flexibility is extremely important.
Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current driver’s license in good standing.
- Military base access a plus.
- Previous experience as a Medical Courier preferred.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Be able to lift, carry, and/or push at least 25 lbs.
- Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information.
- Knowledge of local traffic patterns, various routes, and location of medical facilities preferred.
