ACE Wellness Center is seeking a Clinical Supervisor. The Clinical Supervisor will be a versatile, self-motivated, results-oriented professional who is able to assist with managing a strong clinical team in the Cuyahoga County and surrounding areas under the supervision/oversight of the Clinical Director.
The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical operational oversight and supervision to assigned clinical service staff, which may include fully licensed therapists, therapist-interns, and Qualified Behavioral Health Professionals.
This position ensures adherence to the mission, vision, and values of the organization as well as ACE Wellness Center’s clinical service policies and procedures. The Clinical Supervisor also assists with maintaining service quality and clinical documentation compliance while working closely with the Clinical Director and team members to achieve organizational clinical and fiscal goals.

Salary Range: $75,000 – $80,000
RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, ACE Wellness Center policies, and safeguarding of confidential healthcare information and compliance with the Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.
- Report suspected child abuse or neglect to the Child Abuse Hotline in accordance with mandated reporting requirements.
- Establish relationships and communicates with clients, caseworkers/probation officers, family members, and staff.
- Identify and seek resolution for potential problems arising with staff or other involved parties.
- Provide clinical supervision for assigned clinical personnel and other support staff. Supervision needs will be evaluated based on clinical experience and performance and may be weekly but not less than bi-weekly.
- Participate in and lead clinical team meetings to ensure clinical service goals are met and program and organizational developments are communicated, understood, and implemented.
- Ensure weekly review and management of caseload and productivity. Ensures clinical services are scheduled by the providers in the electronic health record (EHR) system and are delivered to clients weekly.
- Monitor compliance with treatment services. Reviews “no show” and “cancellation” concerns and how to mitigate barriers to successful treatment with each provider.
- Share responsibility of closely monitoring the referral list, including scheduling, and assigning new cases in a timely manner to clinical staff based on staff case load and productivity. Sets expectations for all providers in regard to meeting performance requirements and achieving goals. Ensures clients have timely access to care provided by our providers.
- Provide guidance/supervision to group and individual providers achieving below average treatment outcomes and consults with Clinical Director regarding disciplinary action that may be warranted due to underperformance.
- Discuss staff’s approval of upcoming discharges with Clinical Director prior to conversations with client/families.
- Partake in monthly peer review and other quality improvement activities while working closely with Clinical Director to ensure clinically sound documentation.
- Review, reject, and approve clinical documentation for assigned clinical staff daily and provides feedback to providers.
- Report all adverse incidents to the Clinical Director immediately. Consults with Clinical Director on any incident that requires external reporting.
- Review assessments & staff’s diagnoses along with appropriate recommendation for treatment services with Clinical Director.
- Monitor treatment plan service delivery compliance i.e., ensures providers deliver services in type and quantity consistent with the treatment plan and minimizes over and/or under-utilization of services.
- Manage productivity in conjunction with Clinical Director.
- Address complaints made about provider(s) or services by payers and/or consumers. Reports complaints per policy to the Clinical Director and Quality and Compliance Director.
- Ensure clinical documentation meets internal divisional and external payer requirements.
- Conduct documented supervision with assigned clinical staff and provides ongoing feedback to each provider concerning quality of clinical services and work performance.
- Participate in onboarding and training of new staff through Relias or other training platforms.
- Monitors HIPAA compliance and reports breaches in accordance with corporate policy.
- Assist with completing intakes, diagnostic evaluations, and assessments.
- Establish relationships and communicates with clients, caseworkers/probation officers, family members, and staff.
- Maintain professional licensure and adhere to regulatory requirements from the Ohio Department of Health and Human Services and the Ohio licensing boards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (IMFT) in Ohio
- Minimum five years of experience providing treatment services for children and/or adults with emotional or behavioral disorders
- Minimum two years of supervisory experience
- Experience with wraparound services preferred
- Strong understanding of clinical administration within a behavioral health environment
- Knowledge of treatment issues affecting children, adolescents, adults, and families
- Experience working with foster and/or adoptive children and familiarity with the ODJFS system
- Ability to support organizational culture through communication, accountability, and teamwork
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, internet applications, and clinical software systems
- Active Ohio Medicaid Number
- Valid clinical license in Ohio
- Proof of valid Ohio Driver’s License and reliable transportation
