Overview
We are seeking an Experienced Climber to join our dynamic team of arborists. This role is vital for executing complex tree care projects, including pruning, trimming, and removals, using advanced climbing techniques and rigging methods. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, expertise, and a passion for outdoor work to help us maintain healthy, beautiful landscapes.
Duties
- Safely ascend and work in trees using climbing gear and arborist rigging techniques
- Perform tree pruning, trimming, and removal with precision and attention to detail
- Operate bucket trucks safely for elevated work and access hard-to-reach areas
- Use chainsaws and other tools to cut branches or sections of trees efficiently
- Implement rigging procedures for controlled tree dismantling or limb removal
- Follow all safety protocols to ensure personal safety and team well-being during operations
- Assist with plant pruning care, landscape maintenance, and general tree care tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in tree climbing, rigging, and arborist techniques
- Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a plus for site mapping and planning
- Ability to operate bucket trucks safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of tree care practices including pruning, trimming, and removal
- Skilled in the use of chainsaws, rigging gear, and other arborist tools
- Familiarity with safety protocol adherence in outdoor work environments
- Prior outdoor work experience with a focus on horticulture or landscape maintenance is preferred
- Growing experience in arboriculture or related fields such as dendrology (study of trees) or horticulture is advantageous
