What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Mechanic position at Ace Transmission & Automotive?
Local transmission and general automotive business is looking for an automotive mechanic. Candidate needs to be a motivated, team player that can work independently as needed.
Skills required for the position include:
- Removal and reinstallation of manual and automatic transmissions (on all types of vehicles)
- Assist with the inspection, diagnosing and repair of vehicle automotive systems
- Assist with removal, rebuilding and replacement of manual and automatic transmission (all vehicle types)
- Ability to repair or replace all parts of a vehicle including brakes, fuel system, electrical systems, a/c components, etc.
- Ability to explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection to other team members, including transmission builders, and service writer
- Ability to professionally record findings so that repair costs are accurately estimated
- Possess safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, lift operation, etc.
Requirements:
- Full set of professional grade tools
- Minimum 2 years experience as an automotive technician or mechanic
- Current driver’s license
- Ability to read and comprehend technical instructions
