This is a contract-based hybrid role for a RedHat Linux System Engineer, located in Boston, MA, with flexibility for some remote work. The engineer will be responsible for managing Linux-based systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring infrastructure efficiency. Daily responsibilities include system administration, scripting for automation, system monitoring, and collaborating with teams to optimize system performance and reliability.
- Strong experience in Linux System Administration and overall System Administration
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex system issues
- Hands-on knowledge of scripting for automation, such as Shell, Python, or Bash
- Familiarity with managing and optimizing IT infrastructure
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Relevant certifications, such as Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), are a plus
