Role Description This is a full-time Harness Engineer (Creo) role based in Mountain View, CA with a hybrid work arrangement, allowing a mix of onsite and work-from-home. The Harness Engineer will design, model, and document electrical wiring harnesses and cable assemblies using Creo, ensuring compliance with mechanical and electrical requirements. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and quality) to define harness routing, connector selection, and packaging constraints, as well as updating drawings and BOMs in the PLM system. The engineer will review requirements, perform design validations, resolve design issues, and support prototype builds and production ramp-up. The role also involves maintaining design standards, participating in design reviews, and providing technical support to manufacturing and suppliers.

Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Creo or similar CAD tools for harness and cable design, including 3D routing and 2D drawing creation.
- Experience with electrical wiring harness design, connector and terminal selection, cable shielding, and harness packaging in mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices for automotive, aerospace, or industrial harness design, including documentation and change control.
- Familiarity with PLM/ERP systems for BOM management, configuration control, and engineering change processes.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings, and translate them into manufacturable harness designs.
- Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams in a hybrid environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in harness engineering for automotive, EV, robotics, aerospace, or similar high-reliability products is highly beneficial.
- Detail-oriented, with good problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines.
