Field Operations Assistant (Ticket Coding / Administration)
Location: Midland, TX (Field Office)
Overview
Our client is seeking a Field Operations Assistant to support their Production team with ticket coding and cost tracking. This is a high-volume, detail-driven role where the right person can quickly make an impact and gain valuable exposure to field operations.
This role is often a starting point into other areas of the business for high performers.
While the position is administrative in nature, it is more closely aligned with accounting and operations support than a traditional front-facing admin role.
Key Responsibilities
• Review and perform quality control on vendor tickets for accuracy and compliance
• Code and route tickets for approval using internal systems
• Coordinate with field personnel to confirm ticket and invoice details
• Support cost tracking across production operations (oil, gas, compression, etc.)
• Maintain strong accuracy and efficiency in a high-volume environment
What Success Looks Like
• Processing 100–150 tickets per day depending on experience level
• Maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail
• Staying focused and productive in a busy, high-traffic office environment
• Demonstrating strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with OpenInvoice, OpenTicket, or similar systems
• Oil and gas industry exposure or understanding of field operations
• Background in accounts payable, billing, or data entry
Work Environment
• Office located in a field operations setting (more casual and fast-paced than corporate offices)
• High-traffic environment with frequent activity and interaction nearby
• Ability to stay focused and work independently is essential
• Headphones permitted to help maintain focus
Schedule
• Monday–Thursday: 6:30 AM–3:30 PM or 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
• Friday: Half day (4 hours)
• Some flexibility available

• Initial training provided (2 weeks with experienced team members)
