Job Description
Job Description: Ace Recycling and Disposal is looking for a Swing shift Inventory Specialist. The primary responsibility of this job is to compile information and records to draw up purchase orders for procurement of materials and services. Experience on automotive or heavy-duty parts purchasing or experience working on automotive or Heavy-duty vehicles would be a plus. Wage Range for this position starts at $22.00/HR depending on experience, with a $2.00 shift differential.
Required Experience
Essential Functions -Prepare purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and to departments originating requests.-Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for needs, ordering more materials when necessary.-Perform buying duties-Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.-Review requisition orders in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.-Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.-Calculate costs of orders, and charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts.-Check shipments when they arrive to ensure that orders have been filled correctly and that goods meet specifications.-Compare suppliers' bills with bids and purchase orders in order to verify accuracy.-Approve bills for payment.-Locate suppliers, using sources such as catalogs and the internet, and interview them to gather information about products to be ordered.
Position Qualifications Experience on automotive or heavy-duty parts purchasing or experience working on automotive or Heavy-duty vehicles would be a plus. Assertiveness - Ability to act in a self-confident manner to facilitate completion of a work assignment or to defend a position or idea. Communication, Oral - Ability to communicate effectively with others using the spoken word. Time Management - Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Accuracy - Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. Detail Oriented - Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task. Communication, Written - Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely. Organized - Possessing the trait of being organized or following a systematic method of performing a task. Computer - Must have some knowledge of Microsoft applications and general databases.
