I'm Dustin Hunter, owner of Ace of Diamonds Painting.

The Role

This is a high-trust, high-impact position.

You will serve as a Project Consultant, meeting with homeowners who are already interested in painting their home, listening carefully to understand their vision, and presenting solutions that genuinely fit their needs and budget.

This is not a pitch-and-close role. It's a listen-and-solve role. The best consultants here don't just quote a price. They uncover what the homeowner actually wants and build a clear path to get them there.

You'll also have the opportunity to source some of your own leads through referrals, relationships, and community presence. The best in this role don't wait for opportunity. They create it.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct in-home consultations and estimates with interested homeowners
  • Listen first and understand their goals, concerns, timeline, and budget
  • Present solutions that match their needs clearly and confidently
  • Follow up with prospects and guide them to confident decisions
  • Proactively source leads through referrals, networking, and community presence
  • Represent our brand with professionalism, warmth, and clarity
  • Keep CRM notes clean, accurate, and organized
  • Hand off complete, easy-to-understand booked jobs the production team can execute smoothly
  • Participate in ongoing training, meetings, and team development
Time Breakdown

About 85% of your time will be in the field: consultations, estimates, follow-up, and active lead development. About 15% will be training, meetings, and administrative tasks.

The company generates the majority of your leads. The best closers also build their own pipeline. Referrals and relationships pay, literally.

The Earning Potential

  • Base salary: $50,000
  • Good reps earn $100,000
  • Great reps earn $150,000
  • Commission is uncapped and paid monthly and annually

Experience Requirements

Experience estimating and selling in the trades is required. You must understand how field-based sales and project scoping works. Experience selling painting services is strongly preferred. Minimum one year of outside sales experience in a results-driven role.

We're not training someone on what a square foot is. We're looking for someone who already speaks the language and is ready to perform at a high level from day one.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $50,000 annual base salary
  • Uncapped commission — good reps hit $100K, great ones hit $150K

Learning, Development and Leadership
