Responsibilities
- Prepare planting beds by clearing debris, tilling soil, and ensuring optimal conditions for plant growth
- Plant a variety of trees, shrubs, flowers, and ground covers with precision and care
- Maintain healthy landscapes through watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest management
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to assist with planting, trimming, and landscape enhancements
- Support irrigation setup and adjustments to ensure efficient water distribution across planting areas
- Assist with greenhouse activities such as transplanting seedlings and monitoring plant health
- Conduct routine landscape maintenance including mowing lawns, edging beds, and performing lawn care tasks
- Collaborate with team members to execute landscape design plans and seasonal planting schedules
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscaping environments
- Knowledge of irrigation systems and greenhouse operations is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with growing plants, farming practices, or lawn care techniques
- Familiarity with land preparation, planting procedures, and landscape maintenance practices
- Ability to operate hand tools such as shovels, pruners, rakes as well as power tools safely and effectively
- Strong understanding of horticultural principles related to plant health and soil management
- Excellent physical stamina to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members and clients
