What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Alarm Technician (Commercial) position at ACE-HTI?
ACE-HTI is growing and has an opportunity for a Lead Commercial Fire Alarm Technician at our Kernersville Office.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience installing, maintaining and servicing commercial fire alarm systems
- Experience working with Firelite and Napco products would be great but isn’t required
- Possess or obtain knowledge of NFPA, State and local fire codes and be NICET certified or working on your NICET certification is a plus, but not required
- Ability to create and maintain solid industry relationships
- Understanding of hardware and software programs required to perform installation, inspection, and management duties on Fire Alarm Projects
- Demonstrate ability to follow required codes and regulations
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Must be detail-oriented
- Must complete other projects, as assigned.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft office – excel & word programs
- Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training
- Possess a valid drivers' license and good driving record
- Ability to successfully pass a background check, drug test and driving history check
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Oversee and perform system installation, inspection, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems.
- Oversee material, tool and equipment procurement in accordance with company guidelines on Fire Installations.
- Manage the development of future fire division technicians.
- Provides reliable, high quality customer support.
- Performs customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
- Performs system testing and signal verification.
- Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
- Performs new system installations, upgrades, and additions.
- Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
- Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
- Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner
- Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability”
