Duties
- Administer IV infusions accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine suitability for infusion procedures and monitor responses throughout treatment.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques during all procedures to prevent infections and ensure patient safety.
- Document all nursing interventions, medication administrations, and patient responses accurately within electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized infusion plans tailored to patient needs.
- Educate patients on infusion procedures, potential side effects, and post-treatment care instructions to promote understanding and compliance.
- Monitor for adverse reactions or complications during infusions, responding promptly with appropriate interventions.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in IV insertion, venipuncture, catheter care, and aseptic technique is essential for success in this role.
- Experience with various EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation.
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to infusion procedures.
- Ability to assess patient conditions effectively through vital signs monitoring and physical examinations.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients clearly and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Our office is located just a short drive north of Grand Rapids and a short drive south of Big Rapids in Howard City. We are looking for Home Infusion RN's to provide home infusions to clients in Kent county and some Lakeshore areas. Home Infusion Care Managers coordinate patient care with Infusion company and patients physician. Variety in day-to-day care makes this position unique. This is a pay per visit type vs. hourly depending on the type of infusion per patient, plus mileage reimbursement, in addition is Meeting reimbursement, and we also offer CEU's.
Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour
