General Summary
The Garden Center Associate will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all garden center related products and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall garden center cleanliness.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Customer Service:
• Provide a positive representation of Sety's Ace Hardware.
• Proactively assist customers in solving problems.
• Greet customers entering and throughout the store. Thank customers when finished and when they are leaving the store.
• Possess a friendly outgoing demeanor; work well with customers as well as associates.
• Ensure all pages and calls are answered promptly, courteously and effectively.
• Possess strong product knowledge and knowledge of garden center and location of products.
• Assist customers throughout the garden center with personal, customized service based on the premise of amazing every customer, every time.
Store Operations
• Assist in creating a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Assist with receiving, checking in and stocking of merchandise throughout the garden center and store when needed.
• Assist with maintaining back stock levels.
• Assist with daily maintenance, orderliness and cleanliness of the garden center and outdoor merchandise area.
• Assist with providing a clean and orderly sales floor, including end caps and ad merchandise.
• Assist with merchandise resets through the store.
• Ensure signage is current throughout the garden center.
• Communicate any Store Support Center issue to General Manager for follow up.
• Communicate any merchandising, cost control or sales idea to General Manager.
• Participate in store meetings.
• Be professional in appearance and actions.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Plant and Gardening experience highly desired.
Skills/Knowledge:
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
Knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel a plus.
A commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction
Solid team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, exceptional organizational ability, high attention to detail, and ability to multitask
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the needs of
the business
Physical Requirements
The minimum physical requirements for this position include:
Must be able to lift 60 pounds frequently to load and unload customer orders.
Ability to stand for an extended period of time
Move and handle boxes of merchandise and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
Salary : $17 - $19
