What are the responsibilities and job description for the Department Head position at ACE HARDWARE OF OOLTEWAH?
- Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management).
- Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned by store manager move with your “Ace Pace”.
- Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required.
- Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings.
- Handle special orders for all non-stock items.
- Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager.
- Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting.
- Excellent customer service and interaction prevents shoplifting.
- Respond to radio requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience.
- Technically proficient in computer systems including related software.
- Gather and analyze data and maintain accurate records.
- Take initiative, assume responsibility, and execute thoroughly.
- Interact with staff at all levels of the organization.
- Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
- Possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record in accordance with company’s insurance carrier’s standards.
