Stihl Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team, responsible for diagnosing and repairing a variety of mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in small engine and equipment repair, with the ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service. This role requires hands-on experience with STIHL equipment and various repair tools. Because we are a fairly new dealer in this area, we are very seasonal in repair work. We are hoping to find a tech who is willing to assemble and deliver items such as grills, when the shop is slow.

Duties

• Diagnose and repair small engine systems, including 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines.
• Utilize schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct equipment repairs using hand tools and power tools as necessary.
• Engage with customers to explain repairs and provide exceptional service.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Execute heavy lifting tasks as needed during repairs or equipment handling.

Requirements

• Previous small engine repair experience.
• Proven service technician experience in equipment repair fields, preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively.
• Experience with electrical systems.
• Familiarity with all STIHL power products is a plus.
• Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
