Cashier

Overview

We are looking for mature, energetic individuals to join our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and become the friendly face that enhances every customer’s shopping experience! Duties

• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately
• Handle cash register operations, including cash handling, balancing cash drawers, and issuing receipts
• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and providing product information
• Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to ensure the store remains inviting and organized
• Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits to customers
• Upsell relevant products or services to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a helpful attitude
• Maintain professional phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries

Experience

• Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is advantageous
• Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers
• Experience in grocery store environments or retail stores involving merchandising and stocking is beneficial
• Demonstrated ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
• Knowledge of retail store product details, merchandising techniques, and upselling strategies enhances performance

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
