Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs, ensuring a positive experience from start to finish
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with integrity and attention to detail
- Conduct product demos to showcase features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities to maximize sales
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractive and accessible
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, store policies, and promotions
- Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and participating in regular stock counts
Experience
- Prior retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus for those interested in leadership growth
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures is highly desirable
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills to engage customers confidently and professionally
- Experience conducting product demos or upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
- Basic math skills necessary for handling transactions accurately and managing retail math calculations
- Previous experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial but not required
