CDL A - Trap Technician

Job Description:
The Job
As a Trap Service Technician, you'll operate a service truck and specialized equipment to clean, inspect, and service grease traps at restaurants, hotels, hospitals, and food manufacturing facilities.
You'll be responsible for safely operating your vehicle and equipment, completing assigned routes, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing professional service to our customers.
What You'll Do

• Drive a company service truck safely and efficiently.
• Travel assigned routes and service customer locations.
• Operate truck-mounted equipment to clean grease traps and collect materials.
• Inspect grease trap systems as required by local regulations.
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain your truck and equipment in clean, safe, working condition.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor roadside repairs when necessary.
• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload collected materials.
• Complete daily electronic logs and required vehicle documentation.
• Follow all DOT, state, federal, local, and company regulations.
• Communicate with supervisors using truck computers, phone, text, and email.
• Take and send photos of equipment, customer sites, or issues when requested.
• Report vehicle problems, customer concerns, accidents, or other issues promptly.
• Provide friendly, professional service at every customer location.
• Leave customer locations clean and professional.
• Work with other drivers as part of a team when assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Required Qualifications

• Class A CDL with Air Brake and Tanker Endorsement
• High school diploma or GED
• Safe driving record
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to pass ongoing, random drug screens
• Ability to follow instructions and complete assignments accurately
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to manage your workload independently
• Ability to communicate problems and concerns to management promptly
• Commitment to distraction-free, safe driving
• Ability to use texting and email to send pictures and updates to supervisors
• Clean and professional appearance and work habits
• Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize tasks
• Willingness to identify opportunities for improvement and suggest solutions

Preferred: Knowledge of DOT logs and regulations.
