We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Estimator Glazier to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for glazing projects, including commercial and residential glass installations. Your expertise will help ensure projects are financially viable, competitive, and completed on time. Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine scope of work and material requirements
- Utilize estimating software to develop detailed cost proposals
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and gather accurate measurements for estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and secure competitive bids
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages, including material costs, labor estimates, and subcontractor quotes
- Monitor project budgets throughout the bidding process to ensure cost control and profitability
- Assist in contract review and support project management teams during project execution
Requirements
- Proven experience in Glazing estimating, particularly within glazing or glass installation projects
- Strong knowledge of contracts, and project workflows
- Skilled in using and collaboration; experience with Bidding projects is highly desirable
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing with vendors and subcontractors
- Familiarity with site operations, safety standards, and on-site coordination
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously
