What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Class Scientific Glass Lampworker/Glassblower position at Ace Glass Inc., Vineland, NJ?
Key Responsibilities/Qualifications of a 1st Class Lamp Operator:
- The Qualified Applicant will be responsible for assembling complex pyrex laboratory assemblies in a productive and efficient manner via bench and lathe.
- Experience & competency assembling complex apparatus such as magnetic distilling heads, soxhlet extractors, jacketed 5-neck reactor with bottom valves, vacuum regulators, highly efficient condensers, high boiling distilling apparatus.
- Candidate should have a minimum of ten (10) years’ experience that enables one to review the print and subsequently determine the process in which to assemble.
- A 1st Class Lamp Operator as defined by Ace Glass would require little or no assistance in assembling these complex pieces.
- Works in a manner that meets production requirements and produces quality pieces that meet drawing specifications
- Detail oriented
- Takes initiative
- Communicates with others in a level-headed manner
- Has no difficulty following directives from management
