Job Description:
We're seeking a dependable and customer-focused Mobile Automotive Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you'll take our service expertise on the road providing high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs at customer homes, businesses, or other off-site locations. This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician who enjoys working independently while still being a key part of a supportive team.\
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay: $18 per hour
Work Requirements:
Work Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday
Ability to Commute: Woodbury, NJ Required)
Willingness to Travel: 100% (mobile service position)
Work Location: In person
Key Responsibilities:
- Travel to customer locations using a fully-equipped service vehicle to perform on-site maintenance and light repairs.
- Conduct routine services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, battery replacements, and fluid services.
- Utilize mobile diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and resolve vehicle issues.
- Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Ensure mobile service vehicle is stocked, clean, and organized at all times.
- Coordinate with the main service team to schedule and plan daily mobile service routes.
- Uphold dealership and manufacturer standards for quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as an automotive service technician preferred
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ford Experience: Familiarity with Ford vehicles and service procedures is a plus
- Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair capabilities across multiple systems
- Problem Solving: Ability to make informed decisions and resolve issues independently in the field
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach
- Technology: Comfortable using modern diagnostic software and mobile service platforms
- Attitude: Self-motivated, responsible, and detail-oriented with a passion for service
- License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required; must be comfortable operating a service vehicle
