NON-CDL Driver (Full-Time)

Location: Brewster, NY
Pay: 22-23/hour Overtime

What You'll Do

• Safely deliver food and supply orders to customers using liftgate trucks and manual material handling equipment
• Unload products using liftgates, electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, or by hand, and place them in designated customer storage areas
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, including vehicle safety checks and trailer temperature monitoring
• Use a POD scanner to log arrivals, verify deliveries, and obtain customer signatures
• Communicate with customers, resolve delivery discrepancies, process returns, and collect payments (cash or checks) when required
• Monitor refrigerated truck temperatures to ensure food safety throughout each route
• Complete DOT logs, Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR), and other required paperwork
• Follow all company safety policies, food handling procedures, and DOT regulations

What We're Looking For

• Valid driver's license issued by the state of residence (CDL not required)
• Clean driving record meeting company insurance requirements
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic math skills and the ability to accurately handle customer payments
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed
• Experience operating electric pallet jacks, hand trucks, or similar equipment is a plus
• Comfortable working independently while maintaining a positive attitude

Additional Info

• Must be at least 18 years old and pass a background check, pre-employment drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review
• Frequently lift, push, pull, and move products weighing 1–75 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds, using safe lifting techniques
• Frequently reach up to 72 inches to stack and unstack pallets and hand carts
• Frequently bend, twist, squat, and perform repetitive movements while loading and unloading products
• Comfortable working in various temperatures, including refrigerated environments, outdoor weather conditions, and warehouse settings
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions with frequent delivery stops during shifts that may exceed 10 hours
• Must be able to transport products over ramps, loading docks, and stairs using hand trucks and electric pallet jacks
• Driving record must meet company insurance requirements, including no recent DUI convictions or disqualifying traffic violations
