Job Summary
The ideal candidate will create and manage the data that supports the merchandising of Ace Display’s products. You will strive to ensure that all product-related data is accurate and optimized for maximum return in the areas of SEO, site search, and product sales.
This role requires excellent writing skills, very high attention to detail, knowledge of our products, familiarity with e-commerce trends and best practices, and excellent cross-functional communication skills.
Position: Merchandising Specialist
Reports to: President
Location: Southlake, TX
Hours: 9am – 5pm, with some flexibility
Responsibilities:
- Check, correct, edit, and maintain detailed product information as it appears on the Ace Displays website - ensuring accurate and complete information at all times.
- Support the launch of new products - compiling and creating product specific data, writing merchandising and marketing copy - helping to ensure complete and correct product launches.
- Write original text to support product listings online, (product descriptions etc.), while maintaining a consistent brand voice, optimizing for SEO keywords, and driving customers towards purchase.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Product teams for website optimizations such as product recommendations, upselling/cross-selling opportunities, and search improvements.
- Assist with the day-to-day coordination of e-Commerce marketplace activities, e.g. media uploads, reporting, setting up sales or promotions, etc.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Abilities and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Solid knowledge of common ecommerce merchandising, marketing, and analytics platforms and best practices
- A love for great copy and effective communication
- Must be very detail oriented and proactive
- Good computer and technical skills are required
- Be a team player with a positive attitude at all times
Basic Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to operate a computer (monitor, keyboard, mouse)
- Ability to do basic math calculations
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
