JANITOR CUSTODIAN MANUFACTURING

We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our facilities. This is an important role in ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for both employees and visitors.

Hours for this Janitor position are 40 hours per week. This can be negotiated. Our daytime hours are 8:15am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Daily / Weekly Duties and Responsibilities:

Offices

·       Vacuum, Sweep and Mop all offices and hallways

·       Clean glass and dust

·       Remove all garbage and replace liners

Production Area

·       Empty all garbage cans and replace liners

·       Sweep main pathways

·       Empty trash carts as needed

Restrooms

·       Clean all fixtures and countertops

·       Sweep and Mop

·       Restock paper products

·       Remove all garbage and replace liners

Outside Building

·       Remove any trash along walkways, grass and roadways

·       Clean area around dumpster and compactor

·       Dump mini-dumpsters with forklift

Requirements

·       Previous experience in commercial or industrial cleaning preferred

·       Knowledge of custodial practices and procedure

·       Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

·       Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting heavy objects or standing for long periods of time

·       Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
