Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and Dental Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental practices by fabricating dental appliances, assisting with patient assessments, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Fabricate dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, dentures, and orthodontic devices using CAD systems.
- Assist in patient assessments by gathering relevant medical records and providing necessary information to the dental team.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all procedures performed while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Utilize dental terminology effectively in communication with both patients and healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with dentists and other dental staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and techniques, particularly in pediatrics if applicable.
- Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and sanitized according to industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dental Technician or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and procedures.
- Familiarity with CAD systems for the fabrication of dental appliances.
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations concerning patient confidentiality and medical records management.
- Experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Certification or relevant training in dental assisting is advantageous.
