Staff Accountant

Founded in January 2005, located in Humble, Texas ACE Controls brings over two decades of combined expertise in control panel design, fabrication, and integration.

We specialize in serving the Water & Wastewater, Food & Beverage sectors, and partnering with

manufacturers of process equipment; pumps, compressors, blowers, conveyors, mixers, and clarifiers. Our deep industry knowledge and commitment to quality make us a trusted resource for precision-engineered control systems.

This individual manages daily accounting functions, upholds GAAP compliance, and produces detailed financial analysis that strengthens cost management and data‑driven decision‑making within our Humble, Texas office. With strong attention to detail, excellent analytical ability, and a collaborative approach, our Staff Accountant strengthens financial processes and contributes directly to the efficiency and success of a fast‑paced, operations‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
• Perform month & year‑end close activities, maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and balance sheet accounts.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and compliance documentation for vendors and customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate job costing and project accounting.
• Contribute to process improvements and the implementation of accounting best practices.
• Provide additional accounting support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
• Minimum of three (3) years of accounting experience (manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sectors a plus).
• Proficiency in QuickBooks required; NetSuite experience is a strong plus.
• Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and advanced Excel proficiency, working confidently with complex financial data.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow‑through.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, solution‑oriented mindset.
