Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to join our construction team. This role involves preparing accurate project estimates, managing project execution, and ensuring successful completion within scope, budget, and schedule. Duties
- Prepare detailed construction estimates using Bluebeam, HeavyBid, and other estimating software, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost control.
- Develop comprehensive project budgets, schedules, and resource plans in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Review project plans, specifications, and contracts to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts and change orders with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to optimize project profitability.
- Manage all phases of project execution from initiation through completion, including overseeing on-site activities when necessary.
- Monitor project progress, control costs, and implement corrective actions to stay within budget and schedule constraints.
- Coordinate with design teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure clear communication and alignment of project goals.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare reports on project status, costs, and risks for senior management.
Skills
- Proficiency in Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup.
- Strong negotiation skills for contracts, pricing agreements, and change orders.
- Experience with HeavyBid or similar estimating software for accurate cost estimation.
- Solid understanding of construction estimating principles and techniques.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, site management, and safety protocols.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with clients, teams, and vendors.
- Familiarity with contract administration and construction law principles.
