We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Restaurant General Manager to lead our team and oversee operations at our Owensboro, KY location.
Position: Restaurant General Manager
Job Status: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt, 50-55 hours weekly
Responsibilities
As a Restaurant General Manager, you will:
- Staff Recruitment and Development: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of employees. Provide coaching and opportunities for staff development and advancement.
- Customer Experience: Ensure a high-quality customer experience by managing service standards, handling customer complaints and queries, and building trust with customers.
- Operations Management: Oversee store operations, including managing inventory, stock control, pricing, and ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Financial Performance: Monitor and manage budgets, financial records, and statistical performance, maximizing profitability and productivity.
- Sales and Target Achievement: Set sales targets and motivate staff to meet or exceed them.
- Promotions and Marketing: Prepare and implement promotional displays and materials to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Team Leadership: Lead by example, showing initiative and problem-solving skills while maintaining a positive work environment.
Job Requirements
- Experience: At least 1 year of quick service restaurant experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal communication, IT proficiency, and numerical abilities.
- Commercial Awareness: Knowledge of the business environment, including budgeting, cost management, and staff supervision.
- Training & Supervision: Ability to recruit, train, and supervise staff effectively, maintaining high standards of performance and customer service.
- Food Service Management: Experience in kitchen management, inventory control, and food preparation practices.
Qualifications
- Strong background in food service management with a focus on operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Experience with POS systems and financial management.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and inspire a team.
- Knowledge of hospitality management, kitchen practices, and inventory control.
