Alliance Cargo Express, Inc. is looking for an experienced Air Cargo Sales Agent to join our team in Jamaica, NY, near JFK Airport.
The ideal candidate has experience in air freight forwarding, understands international cargo transportation, and is comfortable developing new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
Responsibilities
- Develop new business and generate air freight sales opportunities
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
- Prepare and follow up on air freight quotations
- Work closely with operations and pricing teams to provide competitive solutions
- Identify new customers, freight forwarders, exporters, and logistics partners
- Negotiate rates and service conditions with customers
- Follow up on quotes and convert opportunities into confirmed shipments
- Maintain accurate customer and sales information in the company system
- Meet established sales and revenue targets
Qualifications
- Previous experience in air freight, freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation sales preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Understanding of international air cargo operations is a strong advantage
- Ability to develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
- Self-motivated and results-oriented
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- English communication skills required
- Experience with CargoWise is a plus
