Summary

The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs within a manufacturing facility. This role emphasizes strong leadership, structured problem-solving, and a proven ability to maintain high safety standards in fast-paced operational environments. The ideal candidate has experience working in settings that require strict compliance, high attention to detail, and disciplined execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and compliance programs.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, workplace inspections, and incident investigations across production areas.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, EPA, and applicable state/local regulations.
  • Lead safety training, emergency response drills, hazard communication, and lockout/tagout instruction.
  • Support manufacturing operations by identifying hazards, implementing controls, and promoting safe use of machinery and equipment.
  • Manage environmental responsibilities, including waste handling, chemical management, air quality, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and leadership teams to embed safety into daily workflows.
  • Develop EHS metrics, reporting, and documentation to track performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead or support emergency response, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Influence teams at all levels to maintain a strong safety culture through consistent communication and training.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard communication, machine safety, and industrial hygiene principles.
  • Experience conducting audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and training.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and drive process improvements.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as OSHA 30/500, CSP, CHMM, or HAZWOPER.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with chemical handling, hazardous waste management, and environmental permitting.
  • Background in high‑compliance, structured operations (manufacturing, aviation maintenance, logistics, engineering, or similar fields).

Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year

Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
