Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathe machines, including Haas 2 axis lathe and Okuma Mill- Turn, ensuring precise machining of parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Some programming at the control a plus
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and technical documentation to ensure accurate manufacturing processes.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and cutting tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments for each job.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery, such as topping off coolant and other lubricants.
- Mill - Turn experience a plus.
- We are a small shop, so we all share responsibilities with all aspects of manufacturing, such as, but not limited to, house keeping, shipping, maintenance, product assembly etc. Being a team player is a must.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC lathe machines with a solid understanding of CNC programming principles.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawing interpretation.
- Ability to use precision measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines accurately.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, feeds, speeds, and tolerances essential for machining tasks.
- Ability to work safely with hand tools, power tools, tooling setups, forklifts, and other shop equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
