Industrial Painter

Accurate Tooling Solutions is looking for an experienced Industrial Painter to join our aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience painting large tooling, fixtures, molds, weldments, and fabricated components and take pride in producing a high-quality finished product.

This position requires attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while meeting quality and production requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tooling, fixtures, weldments, and components for painting.
• Clean, sand, grind, mask, and otherwise prepare surfaces prior to painting.
• Apply primers, paints, coatings, and other finishes using spray equipment and other appropriate methods.
• Mix and prepare paints and coatings according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform touch-ups and rework as needed to meet quality requirements.
• Inspect finished surfaces for proper coverage, thickness, color, and overall appearance.
• Read and follow work instructions, drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Properly clean and maintain spray guns, hoses, paint equipment, and work areas.
• Maintain proper ventilation and follow all safety procedures when working with paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
• Properly label, store, and dispose of painting materials and hazardous waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow company quality procedures and AS9100D requirements.
• Complete required documentation and inspection records.
• Work closely with welders, fabricators, tool builders, and quality personnel to ensure finished products meet requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an industrial, automotive, aerospace, or production painter preferred.
• Experience with spray painting and industrial coating applications.
• Ability to properly prepare surfaces for painting.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and basic drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to safely handle paints, solvents, chemicals, and related materials.
• Basic understanding of paint mixing, coating application, and drying/curing requirements.
• Ability to use PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Aerospace or tooling experience is a plus.
