Job Title: Full-Time Janitor / Maintenance AssistantLocation: Place of Worship – Akron, OhioSchedule: Full-TimeWeekday schedule with one week per month requiring a weekend schedule (two weekday shifts swapped for weekend days)Pay: $17.00-18.00 per hourJob Description:We are seeking a dependable and motivated Full-Time Janitor / Maintenance Assistant to care for and maintain our place of worship in Akron, Ohio. This role is responsible for custodial cleaning, room setups, and basic maintenance to ensure our worship and social spaces are clean, functional, and welcoming. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can establish an effective routine and work independently.Responsibilities:Set up, arrange, and re-arrange worship and social spaces, including moving tables, chairs, and equipment as neededPerform custodial duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, trash removal, and general cleaningChange over rooms for different uses, including setting tablecloths, moving beverage dispensers, and preparing spaces for eventsSet up worship spaces on Fridays and tear down after services on TuesdaysEstablish a regular cleaning routine, including deep cleaning on Mondays when the building is closed to the publicPerform basic maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs, tightening screws, and completing minor repairsMonitor the facility for maintenance needs and report larger repair issuesQualifications:Custodial and/or maintenance experience preferredAbility to work independently and take initiative as a self-starterSolid work history with a strong work ethic and reliabilityAbility to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and moving furnitureRespectful of the values and environment of a place of worshipWhy This Position Is Great:Full-time, stable position with consistent hoursIndependent, routine-based work environmentMeaningful work supporting a community spaceCompany DescriptionAbout Accurate Staffing:Company OverviewAccurate Staffing is committed to excellence through service.
