Facility Maintenance Associate
Accurate Services, Inc. is a family-owned and operated contract apparel manufacturer and fulfillment center located in the historic Laurel Lake Mill Building in Fall River, MA. Thriving for decades in the birthplace of the American sewing industry since 1955, we have offered various services including production for the garment industry, product development, warehousing, and distribution.
We are looking for a Maintenance Associate with maintenance experience who will report to the Facilities Manager to assist in maintaining the company’s grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure that the workspace is safe and functional.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine and preventive maintenance, repair, and replacements, general carpentry, routine plumbing, electrical, floor repair, window repair, painting, etc.
- Provide back-up to the Maintenance Manager
- Perform a variety of maintenance duties including assisting in the inspection of equipment/systems regularly for proper functioning and safety.
- Provides support for snow removal and weather related safety work.
- Will be assigned tasks which require the ability to identify and solve problems with building systems and equipment in a safe and timely manner.
- Duties also include support to manufacturing and warehouse .
- Assist in monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, restrooms, eating areas, parking lots and outdoor spaces.
- Assist manager in the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain, repair, disassemble, and troubleshoot equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment including lubricating, cleaning, adjusting, etc. as needed.
- Read blueprints, diagrams, and/or machinery manuals to diagnose problems, identify components, and verify proper equipment operation.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Occasional on-call is required during after hours including weekends.

Requirements:
- Experience making minor repairs in electrical, plumbing and HVAC and keeping grounds clean of debris.
- Experience in effectively handling light repair needs in large and small buildings
- Experience in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to evaluate basic malfunctioning equipment
- Experience using diagrams, operations manuals, other written instructions and/or own judgment in obtaining required results
- Able to provide assistance in lifting and moving materials and equipment. Able to lift 50 pounds.
- Able to work independently as needed and prioritize maintenance needs.
- Minimum of (2) two years maintenance or related experience preferred
- Have a valid driver's license and good driving history
- Must read and write English.
- Very good verbal and written communication skills and a proven “team player”.
- High School Diploma or equivalent highly preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
